While the High Road to Tibet tour was over my tour wasn’t which meant a day tour around Kathmandu. Today I got to explore significant places of both the Buddhist and Hindu religious sites with some of my Tibet tour mates.

The antibiotics were obviously taking some effect as the swelling on my face was slowly receding which was very good news.

Travelling with a group as part of the G Adventures High Road to Tibet tour we had an included return flights between Kathmandu (Nepal) and Lhasa (Tibet). The first leg was in economy (trip report here).

Highlights: Train to Lhasa, bargaining for souvenirs (but not very well)
The day was dominated by severe swelling in my face. Yesterday afternoon my face swelled up like a ballon on the left side which today started expanding to front as well.

Highlights: Tashilunpo Monastery, Shigatse Bazaar
Today was the last Tibetan Monastery visit of the tour and it was to the fifth largest in Tibet – the Tashilunpo Monastery.
