  • Flight review – SQ25 Frankfurt to Singapore

    This was the second leg of three flights (with two different airplanes) to get back home to Melbourne, Australia. The previous flight was New York to Frankfurt. The same plane was used for this second leg as the first leg.

    Everyone had to depart the airplane while it was serviced and the crew changed. This provided a 1 hour 50 minute transit in Frankfurt before this flight. Note: This review is similar to the first flight on the same A380 plane.

    The thing to keep in mind about Australia and travel is it is so far away. My return home started on Thursday evening in New York (USA), which was Friday morning back home, and it will take almost 48 hours to get back there.

    • Valid Senator card and boarding pass for a Lufthansa/Star Alliance/codeshare partner flight
    • Star Alliance Gold Members

    I gained access by flying Singapore Airlines First Class (Frankfurt to Singapore) during a 1 hour 50 minute stopover.

    Note: Business class passengers without status don’t get access to this lounge, First Class passengers do get access but there is a separate (and presumely better) First Class lounge making this mostly for Star Alliance Gold Members flying in business or economy.
