World Trip 2009: Day 38 – London, England

Sunday 28 June 2009
Highlights: Trafalgar Square, National Gallery

The plan was to go to an outlining suburb or village so I decided to head out to Hampstead for the Old Hampstead Walk which was scheduled at 10 am however I failed to get there in time 😦 This was not a great start so after a quick walk again Hampstead I came up with plan B. This meant a trip to both Leicester Square and Trafalgar Square but more importantly the National Gallery.

Trafalgar Square is dominated by the statue of Lord Nelson. The National Gallery has an amazing collection, especially from the 1200-1400s.

Later I caught up with Belinda and her boyfriend. Belinda is someone I met in my 2006 travels around Europe and we had some fun times, especially her accidentally taking us into a gay adult shop in Amsterdam and more recently setting some jam I sent her on fire .. lol!! Anyway had a great dim sum lunch (the food just never stopped) and loved catching up with James and Belinda.
