World Trip 2006: Day 9 – Hazyview, South Africa

Thursday 6 April 2006
Highlights: First sighting of buffalo, getting pushed into a pool, excessive drinking (mother’s milk is a killer)

Leaving our campsite we saw a large number of wildlife on our way through the Balule Nature Reserve including giraffes and my first sighting of buffalo.   Once at Hazyview we went on a short nature walk just enjoying nature.

Later we wound up by relaxing at the property however before we could do this someone who shall remain nameless (thanks Inge) did a sneak attack and pushed me into our pool – so chasing was in order instead of relaxing by the pool!

Later after another great dinner we ended up at the bar.   Now the night at the bar probably went on a little too long –  before I knew it I had consumed 7 shooters and 4 beers and something called Mother’s Milk that would kill all germs I think.   Drinking awards; Jacko (Aust) was a very good drinker but Niels (Holland) is the group champion.
