  • World Trip 2024-25: Day 36 – Caribbean Cruise (Sea Day)

    Highlights: A Titanic Movie moment, Captain’s Corner Q&A, Enjoying Showtime Production – Wild, Cool & Swingin’

    A Sea Day was ahead of me as the Explorer of the Seas set course for Maimi. I started with breakfast in the Main Dining Room (MDR). If it lines up with my activities I prefer going to the MDR, the orange juice tastes better and the food is freshly prepared. Today I enjoyed French Toast and pancakes.

  • World Trip 2024-25: Day 35 – Caribbean Cruise (Basseterre, Saint Kitts and Nevis)

    Highlights: The St Kitts coastline, The rustic and enjoyable St Kitts Railway, The singing of The Nashville Tenors

    The last country to visit on this World Trip 2024-25 was today’s visit to St Kitts. Whenever a trip gets close to the end I start recalling everything I’ve done and want to ensure the few days remaining bring create more memories.

  • World Trip 2024-25: Day 34 – Caribbean Cruise (St. John’s, Antigua and Barbuda)

    Highlights: Beautiful Antigua, Magnificent views from Shirley Heights, Exploring historic UNESCO Nelson’s Dockyard, Scouting the Antiqua coastline, the incredible and almost unbelievable acrobatic skills displayed during the Duo Quintessence show

    A new day and a new island after last night’s New Year’s celebrations. Antigua is known for its beauty and I couldn’t wait to get ashore.

  • World Trip 2024-25: Day 33 – Caribbean Cruise (Castries, St Lucia)

    A big day was planned for the last day of 2024. I got an early breakfast at the Windjammer buffet restaurant and picked up a towel for today’s Jeep and Catamaran tour of St Lucia.

    My booked activity for a catamaran cruise around Sint Maarten and a snorkel in the Caribbean Sea was unfortunately cancelled today. There wasn’t much left to book by the time I knew of the cancellation but I hoped my selection of a chairlift to view Sint Maarten from its highest point would be a good replacement.
