Highlights: Swimming in the Caribbean Sea, St Lucia coast, exploring the landscape of St Lucia, New Year’s celebration

A big day was planned for the last day of 2024. I got an early breakfast at the Windjammer buffet restaurant and picked up a towel for today’s Jeep and Catamaran tour of St Lucia. 

Once off the ship, I found my tour group and we boarded a catamaran for the morning cruise around the island.

After exploring the coastline we found a nice place to go swimming. I got ready to jump into the water and I was one of the first into the water. I found floating without a wetsuit a little more difficult than I remembered. 

Floating in the ocean under the beautiful sun was a very relaxing and enjoyable experience.

After swimming we explored the coastline a little more.

Back on land, we got into a jeep to explore the island. We made several stops including at a banana plantation and a small village.

On board the ship I went to see the Showtime: Fast Forward production. Which was a show highlighting different 1980s musicals. Great fun.

There was a bonus highlight as this was New Year’s Eve.

I made my way down to the Royal Promenade to count down the end of 2024 and the start of 2025. A lot of fun and loud happy singing.
