    Highlights: Magnificent mountains, Oaxaca Cathedral, nightclub drinking

    Today we had a 6 hour bus ride to Oaxaca a town of around 270,000 people. We are moving to smaller and smaller cities as we progress. The bus ride actually had one significant positive the scenery of the magnificent and dominating mountains.

    Highlights: Puebla Cathedral, Zocalo (City Square), Lucha Libre, Billiards

    Our first bus ride of the tour turned out to be in a comfortable bus and only take a few hours to get to Puebla. First again I was surprised by the quality of the hotel on this basic tour. Our hotel was a very short walk to the Zocalo or city square which housed the Puebla Cathedral.

    Highlights
    : Teotihuacan ruins, Snow activities in Mexico City, Basilica de Guadalupe, Tequila shots

    The first day of the 58 day combined tour and ten of our group decided to visit the Teotihuacan ruins which meant we could hire a private van and guide. The trip also included a visit to Basilica de Guadalupe and a visit to a shop that makes tequila and handicrafts.

    Highlights: Meeting my new G Adventure group

    The relaxation part of the trip is now over and it’s back to touring. I started the day going down to the hotel restaurant for the buffet breakfast expecting to use my last $25 USD voucher but they never asked for money or even my room number. It looks like I could have gotten free breakfasts every morning!

    Highlights: Xcaret Park, Swimming in an underground cave system, Mexico Espectacular night show

    Today my rescheduled Tuesday tour actually occurred although I nearly missed the pick up again. I was told to look for a bus title Mayan Tours but instead it was a van title USA transfers. The transfer pick up was at 7 am and took me to a central checkin station to catch the bus to the park.
