Today was all about getting to Sri Lanka which made this a lengthy travel day. Luckily that didn’t mean an early day as I had a 12.20 pm flight out from Siem Reap. This meant I had time for a leisurely breakfast at the hotel and time to watch Michelle Obama at the Democratic Convention (great speech btw).

The last full day of the G Adventure – National Geographic tour turned out to be action packed. The morning was all about the Cambodian Temples, the afternoon relaxing at the hotel and the evening experiencing an amazing live circus show. (more…)

Today was the big day of the G Adventures – National Geographic tour, the chance to visit the famous Angkor Wat and other amazing temples. Today and tomorrow is all about the temples as this 17 day tour rapidity draws to a close.

Highlights: New Hope Dinner, Night Market (Siem Reap), Fish Foot Massage
Most of today was spent on a public bus (first class) trip from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap which left at 8.45 am and arrived around 2.45 pm. Nothing major occurred on the bus trip, the free included wifi helped kill sometime, however two tour members Chris and James had to fly directly to Siem Reap due to illness.
