World Trip 2006: Day 27 – London to Paris, France

Monday 24 April 2006
Highlights: British Airways First Class Lounge (Heathrow), arriving in Paris

A massive multiple days of travelling concluded today.  This started with catching my first flight yesterday (23 April) from Cape Town at 5 pm, stopping over in Johannesburg and then leaving there at 9.25 pm.  Today (24 April) I arrived in London at 7.25 am local time with an almost 5 hour stopover here then finally leaving on a 12.20 pm flight for Paris.  I finally arrived in France at 2.00 pm France local time after 6,644 miles of crazy travel over two days.

The long travel day went very well.   My bags made it to Paris across the three different planes.  The showers in the British Airways First Class Lounge in London (water from 5 different directions) exceed expectations and left me fresh enough for the final flight.   With only a little trouble I even managed to find my hotel at which point I crashed after planning my first full day in Europe.
