LOUNGE LOCATION
Passageway connecting Terminals 1 and 2, Level 5. Near the Plaza Premium Lounge.
LOUNGE AREA
This is a very small lounge area. Straight pass entry is a lounge storage area immediately followed on the left by a seating area with showers on the right. Following the seating area is a small dinning area.
FOOD AND DRINKS
There is both a small buffet food area at the end of the lounge. This mostly is cold food options (cereal, fruit, croissants etc) but scrambled eggs were available and you can make toast. Soft drink, orange juice and water bottles are available.
FACILITIES AND SERVICES
There are some computers do catch up on e-mail and print documents in addition to work bench which has powerpoints (but not USB points). The wifi was fast enough to watch YouTube content.
The main point of this lounge in my opinion is the shower area.
There are only a limited number of showers but if you can’t gain immediate access you will be given a pager. I walked straight into a free shower and it was great.
WHAT’S GOOD
This arrivals lounge meet the minimum requirements which is a good shower, a place to store your bags and a place to comfortable rest.
WHAT’S NOT SO GOOD
Very small lounge so can get crowded easily. Limited food options.
SUMMARY
Having never used an Arrivals lounge before I found this one hard to rate but in the end it gain my everything I needed including a place to rest and catch up with the world whileI waited for my early hotel check in to be available at 9.00 am. The real shame is I understand this lounge will be closing shortly.
