Highlights: The Amazing Victoria Falls, Sunset over the Zambezi
Today was a morning drive from Lusaka to Livingstone that took roughly 5.5 hours. On arrival we all headed to the activities centre only to find that most of the activities required you to be there earlier in the day. Ideally we should have driven closer to Livingstone the day before. Still for me I was able to book a guided tour of Victoria Falls on the Zambia side with Tara and Yukon joining me and boy was this a great optional activity.
Victoria Falls is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the world. I knew it was on the border with several countries but when I think Victoria Falls I think Zimbabwe but that does a great disservice to the Zambia side of the Falls. You can see how great they are in either this video or this one.
The Falls are simply spectacular with nature at it’s best, but be warned you need to bring a raincoat or some kind of covering as some of the rushing water ends up as mist in the air and you will get wet.
This particular walking tour only took just over an hour and was well worth it.
Back at camp I had upgraded to a nice waterfront room. Given the problems with noise and rain over the past few days I offered Tara the chance to stay in this room which she gladly accepted. The view from the room was amazing.
