Highlights: Karnak Temple, Luxor Museum
Our last full day in Luxor saw as heading to our last temple of the trip the Karnak Temple. In reality this is a series of temples inside each other including one built by Ramesses II. The Temple was built during the middle kingdom and includes the great Temple of Amon-Ra. The Romans made modifications once they got here but it’s still an impressive display.
After Marco helped me find the Post Office (for some postcards to Erin, Darby and Harry) we had the afternoon free. Everyone but Gloria and Jenny decided to go the Luxor Museum (they went the night before). This was a great display which I very much enjoyed. The guards offered the girls photos inside (which isn’t allowed) I’m sure for payment. I was amazed at how they had put back together a lot of the idols and art work.
