    Highlights: Border Crossing, Car Rally

    Today I left Argentina behind for a 4 day trip inside Chile. On a mostly rainy day the tour group caught the bus to Puerto Natales, home our guide. The bus ride only took about 4.5 hours. The border crossing went well which was a surprise as my fellow travellers and the Internet ad some horror stories about the Chilean officials and border checks. In only 10 minutes I had a new stamp and we were away.

    Highlights: Perito Moreno Glacier

    An early morning start again (a worrying trend) and we were off to Perito Moreno Glacier. The local guide and driver were the ones who picked us up at the airport a few days back. We got a history lesson on the way but I was struggling to stay awake due to the warmth in the van, I later found out I wasn’t a lone and some even fell asleep during the 1.5 hour trip -:)

    Highlights: Ice trekking on Viedma Glacier, lost iPhone

    Today the group broke up into our preferred activities, Ben and Nina went bike riding; Kurt, David and Karen went ice climbing and Christopher and myself went ice trekking. The ice trekking and climbing were on the same glacier so five of use set out together.

    Highlights: Nine hour hike to Laguna de Los Tres

    An early morning start as we caught a bus to the Glacier National Park for our hike to Laguna de Los Tres. This turned out to be both awesome and very tough at the same time. The awesome part included hiking in snow while it was snowing!!

    Highlights: Picturesque El Chaltén, Drive to El Chaltén

    Started the day with a walk around Ushuaia scoping out this small town that I’ll be back at in around 11 days to depart to Antarctica. The mountains and terrain are stunning.
