    Wednesday 11 December 2024Highlights: Tarabita waterfall, Jardin Botanico Las Orquideas (Botanical Gardens), Yanacocha Rescue Center Today was activities in the Amazon region to replace those lost when we couldn’t go to Tena. We were warned to be prepared for rain but also the humidity.

    Tuesday 10 December 2024Highlights: Exploring Baños, The Swing at the End of the World Today in the morning Erin set off to go white water rafting while I stay in Baños to explore the town.

  • World Trip 2024-25: Day 11 – Papallacta to Baños, Ecuador

    Monday 09 December 2024Highlights: Cotopaxi National Park, Hiking around Laguna De Limpiopungo, spotting a condor On Day 4 of our G Adventure Ecuador tour we had to adjust our itinerary bringing forward our days in Baños due to protests near Tena. This also meant our visit to Cotopaxi National Park was brought forward.

  • World Trip 2024-25: Day 10 Otavalo to Papallacta, Ecuador

    Sunday 08 December 2024Highlights: Tahuantinsuyo Weaving Workshop, trying bizcoho and agave nectar, enjoying the views and the hot springs waters at Papallacta. We woke to sunshine and the rain gone. Walking out of our room we breathed fresh air as we went to breakfast and returned to horses walking outside our room!

  • World Trip 2024-25: Day 9 – Quito to Otavalo, Ecuador

    Saturday 07 December 2024Highlights: Otavalo Handicrafts Market, Peguche Community Home organic lunch, Peguche Waterfall We were off on our Ecuador Amazon and Volcanoes tour with an early morning start to Otavalo. We meet the rest of the group before boarding our bus for the next week.
