I’m now nine months into a twelve-month health and fitness program I commenced back in November 2025. A big part of this is an early-morning 2-hour walk as the sun comes up, and this gives me time to reflect on life in general and matters like my progress on this health plan.
I realised how easy it is now to get up and go for a two-hour walk in the middle of winter. I’m starting to think I might have embedded healthier life approaches.
Another revelation was how easy physical activity is now, and how much better my health metrics, like my resting heart rate, are.
The biggest achievements in the last quarter have been taking up competitive tennis again (I was very sore after the first few hits), hitting the ‘ideal’ body mass index range (top of the range; want to do better), successfully donating blood again, and maintaining and locking in all my previous health achievements (weight loss, blood pressure, measurements).
Now for the final three months and then the reward of a world trip.
