Highlights: Ferry to Hvar
With a 2 pm departure from Dubrovnik Darby and me were keen to get back down to the Old Town and use the Cable Car for a different prespective of the area. Unfortunately just as we were about to buy our ticket they shut down the cable car due to bad weather.
We then walked but to the Old Town to see different sections. It was very crowded with tourist mostly from major cruise ships. Additional being a Public Holiday (Labour Day) some shops were shut. The buildings and structure are still impressive.

We did however go for ice cream again, it tastes so good.
We caught local bus back to the hotel and got to reception just in time to miss the rain. A private mini bus got us to the port and with luck it didn’t rain while waiting for the 3 pm ferry.
The ferry to Hvar stopped at two other islands and took 3 hours 20 minutes. The sea did get a little rough and it rained at times. The weather has turned a little from the sunny days of the last few days. On arrival to Hvar I found out quite a few of our group got sea sick. This might have an impact on who does tomorrow’s included Pakleni Islands Boat Ride.
We had to walk from the port to our hotel Amfora Grand Beach Resort. Our bags however got transported. Not long after arriving it rained for a short time. We got lucky three times today to not be outside when it rained.

For dinner Darby and me walked back to the Town Square and got some nice items from a local bakery. Today didn’t quite go to plan (no cable car) but also wasn’t terrible as we luckily missed the bad weather. Only 2 full more days of this tour to go and we start the long journey home.
