Highlights: Avoiding car rental damage charges

The day started really well when I found out I didn’t have to pay extra for the damage to the car from the Vegas accident.  We got to the airport very early, I actually left mum twice (we were in different terminals) coming back since I couldn’t check in either.

Finally we said goodbye and I wished her well with checkin given all the presents she had in her bags (very heavy).  I ended up with a window sit (my preference is aisle) but I scored well by getting a petite older lady sitting next to me for this long British Airways flight.

Saw the following movies:

• Lord of the Rings: Return of the King (excellent)
• He’s just not that into you (fair to good)
• The Wrestler (very good).

All in all not bad little trip to London (9.5 hours); however it took over 1.5 hours to go though security again, thank god my change of flight was in the same terminal and have heaps of time to get to the gate.

Now to see if my bags get to Cairo and to see if I can organise a taxi to the hotel on arrival at 2 am in the morning.
