Highlights: 19 hour bus trip concludes, Attending a Professional Wrestling Pay for View Event (WCW Starcade)

We arrived in Washington at 7 am after a 19 hour bus trip on Greyhound. How we are going to survive the 24 hour bus ride next month I don’t know!

The hostel would not let us check in until 12 pm so we had to walk the very cold streets of Washington. This did allow me to view the Capitol building (from the outside) and visit Union Station which is very impressive. Very high class with lots of shops, a great food court and a grand design, surely one of the best train stations of the world.

Eventually we managed to check in and fall asleep for 6 hours getting up at 4 pm in order to undertake urgent washing.

At my brother’s suggestion I managed to find other backpackers who were heading to WCW event. I found out it was Starcade 1999 and was starting at 7.30 pm just down the road. Matched to obtained $15 tickets for this per-for-view event. So I spend the night enjoying professional wrestling. I got Reagan a souvenir program.
