    Today was the big day of the G Adventures – National Geographic tour, the chance to visit the famous Angkor Wat and other amazing temples.  Today and tomorrow is all about the temples as this 17 day tour rapidity draws to a close.

    Highlights: New Hope Dinner, Night Market (Siem Reap), Fish Foot Massage

    Most of today was spent on a public bus (first class) trip from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap which left at 8.45 am and arrived around 2.45 pm.  Nothing major occurred on the bus trip, the free included wifi helped kill sometime, however two tour members Chris and James had to fly directly to Siem Reap due to illness.

    Today was light on for activities as the main objective was to leave Vietnam and head for Cambodia.  Hotel checkout was noon and other than breakfast I stayed in my room updating my journal and uploading Facebook photos and YouTube videos.

    Highlights:  Cu Chi tunnels, final fitting for suits, Rex Hotel, Ben Thanh Market

    The major highlight today was a trip to the Cu Chi tunnels which took us around 1.5 hours to get to.  The trip there and back was made a little easier by the bus having included wifi which is something I rarely come across when travelling, I think the last time was in Iceland. (more…)
