Highlights: Exploring Baños, The Swing at the End of the World
Today in the morning Erin set off to go white water rafting while I stay in Baños to explore the town.
In Baños, I visited the Nuestra Señora del Rosario de Agua Santa Church which had both a beautiful interior and outside grounds.

I also visited the local market and found a COVID Memorial plus admired the landscape surrounding this town.

For the rest of the day, I explored where I would be staying and what I would be doing when I return to Maimi in 13 days.
When Erin returned she had a lot of stories from an enjoyable morning rafting.

The tour group got together in the afternoon to visit The Swing at the End of the World. This area was above the town but with the fog we couldn’t see it or a lot of the surrounding area. We could however take the swing over the edge. Both Erin and I had fun doing this activity 🙂
After our swing time, we explored the beautiful garden area.

Returning to our accommodation Angeles announced the bad news that Tena (our Amazon stop) was impossible due to protesters blocking the roads. We will stay one more night in Baños and one extra night in Quito with new activities. We should still get to visit a section of the Amazon.
Still, this is disappointing as we had a lot of very cool activities in the Amazon planned. But that is the situation so we need to make the most of it.
With finished the day with a nice dinner together.
