Highlights: Speedboat Sighting around Maimi’s Coastline
After a long and enjoyable Day 3 of the trip we moved onto the difficult task of getting to Maimi in overnight flights.
The first flight was from Los Angeles to Orlando which lasted over 4 hours. I managed to get a little sleep, I believe Erin might have gone around 90 minutes which was more than me. Flight review is here.
The second flight was from Orlando to Maimi. We got a light breakfast in the Admirals Club Lounge before the flight which was good as there was no meal service on this hour flight. Flight review is here.
The important thing was our bags showed up. Our booked transport to our hotel showed up. There was a little confusion but it was sorted out. I found it interesting in most cars don’t have license plates on the front of the vehicle.
Our accomandation is in Downtown Brickell. We got there before 11 am and early check in was possible (which we expected). We stored our bags and walked to Bayside Marketplace, roughly 20 minute walk.
We looked around the Marketplace but the plan was to do a Speedboat tour of Maimi coastline which we organise for 12.30 pm. This was a 45 minute tour this included getting a little wet and it definitely woke us both up 🙂

The tour gave us a view of multi-million houses (up to USD $200 million) on Fisher Island and Star Island. A tour of the rich and shameless, still very impressive these remote home separately the wealthy from the pleasants.

We cruised down the coast of the South Beach and the boat captain provided some funny stories of the history of these islands and houses.
Being on the water also provided a great view of the Maimi Coastline.

We then had a nice lunch overlooking the coastline before heading back to our hotel. There were a couple of issues at the hotel, first going to the wrong room and later struggling to work out how to get the shower to work (it was weird). We need so rest after the last 40 hours.
The hotel room is very large and comfortable. This should be a good base for the next 3 nights.
