The day before a big trip can get very hectic as you mix excitment with worry about whether you are prepared and you attempt to finalised everything.
For this trip I had organised for apartment sitters to look after both the apartment and more importantly my cats. Working in the morning I had my last meeting finish at noon and I packed my bags and prepared the apartment. The cats sensed something was up but as long as I didn’t get the cat carriers out they were content to just watch me.
I took Deb and Neil though the apartment complex and then my apartment providing notes on important matters.. They are both retirees who house sit most of the year and in between stay with their daugther. My youngest sister but in in contact with them. While I’m very comfortable with them I always feel uneasy leaving my cats. There is only some many times they can fall alseep in your arms before you create a deep bond.

Farwelling Deb, Neil plus the cats (who were hiding under the bed) I walked to the Flinder Street Train Station for the journey Sunbury and my older sister Kara.
In Sunbury I went over the trip with Kara and my neice who is accompanying me for the trip to USA, Ecuador and the Galagapos Islands but will be leaving before my Caribbean Cruise.
A farewell dinner / 18th birthday party for Erin was next up. This is actually Erin’s birthday but as we were leaving tomorrow Erin had already had a major extendede family birthday party and a second friends birthday party.

Deb and Neil did provide me some updates on Boots and Juno and apparently they had popped their heads up a couple of times with Juno doing some limited exploring from a distance. Hopefully they settle quickly and this turns out better than cattery option I’ve used on other occasions.
